Shipping

Shipping is a little behind. There have been a number of unexpected problems that have held up shipping but by now most packages are in the mail. Expect yours to arrive in the next week or so depening on how much holiday mail slows everything down. Also, please note that I will not be able to ship over the holidays, any orders received in the past ten days or up until early in the new year will not ship until the first week or so of January.

Shopping carts arrive.

OK, so I've given up for now working on a store that can provide me with weight based shipping and other options I need, you can use the "Add To Cart" buttons to the left for now. Please note that the buttons are divided into sections for US-based Customers, Canadian-based customers and internationally-based customers. Orders for distros please email info@atbothendsmagazine.com to get a custom quote.

Also note that Add To Cart buttons can be imperfect when ordering multiple items (especially internationally) so if your order includes multiples of many items you may be contacted to refund overpayment or in the rare case that more money may be required for shipping. This situation is expected to be infrequent but please be aware of this.

Pre-orders will be shipping within the next 10 days so expect to see these in you mailboxes at some point after that.

Don't forget to order ABE #8, The Heat #3 and the Outspoken inspired shirt.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me at info@atbothendsmagazine.com for more information.

Up For Sale

Ok, so here it is. The final issue package of At Both Ends with the double 7” is now on sale. One of the records is still at the plant so this will not ship until mid/late November. Pre-order now but don’t expect this to arrive for another 3 weeks or so.

Here are some answers to questions that have been asked.

-What’s included in the package and what songs are on the records?
Included is one 148-page magazine/book that compiles two new issues worth of At Both Ends Magazine and two 7” records with songs from Bane, Grade, Unrestrained (Portland, Oregon) and Between Earth And Sky. Included in the magazine are articles and interviews with Bane, Sick of it All, Verse, Shook Ones, Bill Stevenson, Sparkmarker, Anchor, Shai Hulud, Greg Bennick, Devotion, Wait In Vain, To Kill and a bunch more stuff. This is about as packed as a zine can get. The magazine is perfect bound with glossy pages and colour covers. Printing is similar to a book and is higher quality than pretty much any commercial magazine you would find in a store.

-Where do I buy this?
Right here! LOOK AT THE PAYPAL BUTTONS TO THE RIGHT.

Here’s the first review from Hanging Hex:
AT BOTH ENDS #9/10
Well, someone certainly has set the bar higher. I guess if you’re going to go out do it in a way that’s going to make everyone else attempting to publish something in print basically give up. The last two issues of At Both Ends (combined as one gigantic 150+ page zine), a long-running zine based out of Vancouver, really went all out here. This thing looks great (and features the ever hairy Timm Trust of The Helm on the cover!) and features butt loads of content. The interviews are pretty good and drill Verse, Sick Of It All, Shook Ones, Wait In Vain, To Kill, Shai Hulud, Greg Bennick, Anchor, and Dave Larson, among others. To me, the strong suit for this zine has always been all the other content- an exhaustive tour diary of Bane in South America, a retrospective on Sparkmarker and Brand New Unit, a roundtable zine discussion, random tales from various punkers about their favorite places to travel, the process of vinyl mastering, Canadian geography, cryptozoology, science fiction, indie filmmaking, and the city of Tacoma. Pretty random, but completely entertaining. Weak spots are the reviews as they are mostly brief and kind of dated. Otherwise, Steve has laid down an excellent final issue. Oh, did I mention this comes with a double 7” featuring new stuff from Bane, Grade (yeah... Grade), Unrestrained, and Between Earth and Sky? Crazy!

Track listing for the records:
Bane: Non-Negotiable / Struck Down By Me (re-recorded).
Grade: These Eyes Are On The Exits / Optical Portions.
Unrestrained: Immaculate Deception / Anak Krakatau.
Between Earth And Sky: Skin And Stone / Flow.

Are these the same Bane songs as on the other 7”s they are putting out?
These songs are exclusive to this release. The Bane songs are not found on any of the other 7”s they are releasing.

-Can I get just the records?
No.

-What colours are the records?
Order and find out. If you order three copies you will get all the colours pressed.

-Do you have any back issues?
Yes, I just found a box of Issue #8 so there are limited quantities of those for sale. I also have a zine from Germany called The Heat which is really cool and worth picking up. There are some shirts for sale as well. If you’d like to pick up any of these items along with the Issue #9/10 package then please send an email to info@atbothendsmagazine.com for more information. ABE#8 costs $2 plus shipping, The Heat costs $3 plus shipping, shirts cost $10 plus shipping.

-Can I get this for my distro?
Yes! Please get in contact here: info@atbothendsmagazine.com
The more copies you order the lower the unit price.

Shipping info:
Each package weighs about 1.5 lbs / 650 grams each, this is not cheap to ship. If you live outside North America then the best suggestion is to buy a few copies of the package with your friends to bring the shipping cost down. For example, when shipping to outside North America the per-zine package cost goes down by $10 when you order six copies versus just one copy. I wish shipping was cheaper but it’s out of my control. I will do my best to throw in a bunch of CDs, stickers, etc as a bonus with orders

On top of this please allow extra time for delivery. I am storing these at a friend’s house in another city and don’t have immediate access for shipping. Due to conflicting schedules I can only get there every week or two.

If you have any other questions please email me at info@atbothendsmagazine.com

Please stand by...

I'm having some trouble getting the shipping in Big Cartel to work the way I want it to with the Paypal account. This is the major hold up because right now it's making shipping really wacky. If I can't get it sorted out in the next few days I'm going to ditch the Big Cartel account and just start taking orders manually. Sorry for the hold up.

Wait for it.....

Give me a few more days to get everything going. Pre-orders, more info, blah blah blah will all be happening soon.

Two tonnes of magazines

Ok, so this is the first real post on the new At Both Ends site. Please understand this is just an online presence for the zine and not a webzine in any way. There will be one more chunk of reviews that will be posted that did not make it into the zine as the mail wasn’t fast enough for certain releases to arrive on time. After that there will be no new content as far as reviews, interviews, features, etc. At Both Ends is a hardcore/punk print zine and is not morphing into a webzine in any way.

Here is an update on the progress of the final zine package.

The magazines and one 7” are printed and ready to ship. There is still one 7” that has taken longer to come out than expected. Once that last 7” is pressed and arrives then sales and shipping will follow shortly after that. Expect a release in early November.

People have been asking about preorders and they will be available. A few things must first be sorted out, expect preordering to begin around the weekend of October 24th/25th.

If you are a distributor or would like a wholesale rate then please get in touch. Some of the prices are still being sorted out but by the end of this week everything should be in order.
